to Afekt Counselling, you provide us with contact information. Contact

Afekt Counselling does
not trade, rent or sell your personal information to any other
organization or third party. We use the contact information you provide
us to establish our service for you. Under the Freedom of Information
and Privacy Act we are obligated to respect your personal information.
If we should request to release information about you, we would request
your written consent. Counselling services are voluntary and subject to
various acts (legislation). Information shared in session will remain
confidential with the following exceptions:

If you are seriously deemed likely to harm yourself or harm another, appropriate persons & services will be contacted.

The Freedom of Information Act allows any person who contributed information to ask for a release of the information they shared.

Subpoena – should you become involved in a criminal activity, an officer of the court can subpoena all file information.

Any report of a child suspected to have been, or is likely to be, in need of protection from abuse or neglect will be reported as per the Child, Family and Community Services Act.
Afekt Counselling
disclaims any intention to censor, edit, or engage in ongoing review or
surveillance of communications stored on or transmitted through its
facilities by customers or others. Afekt Counselling will, however,
review, delete, or block access to communications that may harm Afekt
Counselling, its customers or third parties. The grounds on which Afekt
Counselling may take such action include, but are not limited to,
actual or potential violations of the TOU.
Please note that Afekt
Counselling may use this information collected to direct notices as
well as provide you with other general information that may be of
interest to you and information about our services, as well as other
important information regarding your services at our discretion.
Third Party Advertising and Cookies
The basic user information
collected is used to help us analyze Web traffic, improve the content
of our Web site and improve your experience on our Web site.
