MSP
Counselling Services are not covered
by your basic British Columbia Medical Services Plan (MSP). Many
clients chose to budget
for the expenses themselves. Receipts are available for tax
purposes and can usually be claimed as uninsured medical expenses.
Extended
Health
Many extended health and disability benefit packages cover the services
of a Registered Clinical Counsellor
with the British Columbia Association
of Clinical Counsellors or the costs of the specific programs
offered. Contact your insurer to determine if your claim would be
covered - see

CVA
& ICBC
Catherine's general counselling services have been pre-approved
for coverage by Crime Victim
Assistance and ICBC.
EAP
- Employee Assistance Programs
Afekt Counselling does provide "Affiliate Counselling" services to
some EAP
programs. Please feel free to contact Catherine at Afekt Counselling to
determine which Employee Assistance Programs cover general counselling
fees at Afekt Counselling. EAP counselling provides general
counselling only and does not cover specific
treatment
programs.
Contact your
employer or Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) directly
to inquire about the coverage your employer has purchased and
for a list of Affiliate Counsellors. Some EAP programs cover
counsellors employed within their program only and some offer
services by Affiliate Counsellors in the community. All appointments
must be arranged through your EAP provider and they will make a
referral to Catherine Noeth at Afekt Counselling.
