Coverage
MSP
Counselling Services are not
covered by your basic British Columbia Medical Services Plan (MSP). Many
clients chose to budget for the expenses themselves. Receipts are available for
tax purposes and can usually be claimed as uninsured medical expenses
Coverage: If you do not have any form of coverage, counselling sessions are discounted to the "No Coverage Rate" as seen above.
Extended Health
Many
extended health and disability benefit packages cover the services of a
Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of
Clinical Counsellors or the costs of the specific programs offered. Contact your insurer to determine if your claim would be covered - see Background for credentials.
CVA & ICBC
Catherine's general counselling services have been pre-approved for coverage by Crime Victim's Assistance and ICBC.
EAP Providers
Call your insurance agent, extended health provider or employer to
enquire about the coverage you have purchased. Programs are not
covered by EAP programs that are designated to specific service
providers. Please feel free to ask your counsellor for
clarification.
